Luigi and Michela were saved through an itinerant gospel tent ministry and served with them for years. In 1993, Luigi met Pastor Phil Ling when NCC sent a team to Italy. In 1994, Luigi studied under Dave Grant at NCC and returned to Italy to serve Christ.
Heart of Ezra was started in 2003. Luigi and Michela faithfully translate, teach and believe for the future that the Lord has for Italy.
In October 2006, Precept was officially appointed to the Heart of Ezra by the National leaders of Italy.
In April 2007, a church was founded by result of their weekly session teachings with their catholic friends in Aragona.
Luigi and Michela also have a heart for evangelism and they continue to work with the local prison to reach the inmates there, as well as evangelizing through other venues and opportunities.
